The Eti-Keys Celebrity Tea and Signature Silent Auction was a resounding and a truly magical success. Held at the beautiful Country Club of Orlando, on February 18, the tea attracted sea of guests dressed in afternoon attire, many festooned with elegant hats. Emcee Lauren Rowe provided upbeat commentary throughout the program.
Celebrity Pourer, Dr. Lucille O’Neal, was very gracious and outgoing. She spoke candidly to attendees about her life’s challenges, her book and what contributed to her success today. She was very complimentary of the Eti-Keys program and, as trained Facilitator herself, underscored the importance of our non-profit’s efforts in keeping young people on the right path. Student Ty’Anna Williams followed with a testimonial about anti-bullying and the impact of the Eti-Keys program on her life.
During the tea students from the Dr. Phillips School for the Performing Arts entertained attendees with a rousing performance of music from their 2017 season. The program concluded with the presentation of three Founder’s Awards: John Arie, Sr., owner and CEO of Fun Spot America theme parks for his outstanding and continuing support of youth programs and activities throughout central Florida; Anthony Jones on behalf of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization for their outreach to at-risk youth; and Sharon Windsor for her support and dedication as an Eti-Keys volunteer.
Our signature silent auction was sold out as bidders snagged some great bargains that ranged from a week’s stay at fabulous Florida vacation home to a basketball signed by the Hall of Fame legend Shaquille O’Neal.
Our sincere appreciation to generous sponsors and donors for their support. The proceeds from the event will enable the Eti-Keys Training Group to continue offering vital life skills, character-building and anti-bullying programs to children age 7 to 18, especially those in underserved and economically challenged communities.
We encourage you to look forward to our 5th annual Celebrity Tea in 2018 and we invite you to bring your relatives, friends and neighbors to this very special event. Great plans have already begun and you won’t want to miss it.
