Ms. Toni Jennings, who served as our Celebrity Pourer, graciously poured the first cup of tea to commence what was a most memorable afternoon for all. Harpist Verlon Eason entertained guests while they dined on specially prepared desserts and finger sandwiches. Youthful members of the Orlando Ballet, aspiring stars on the rise, then took to the floor for two magical performances. The afternoon concluded with our annual awards presentation to community leaders and organizations that play an invaluable role in helping youth excel: Founder's Award - Mr. Harris Rosen, president and COO, Rosen Hotels & Resorts; Chairman's Award - First Baptist Orlando (Dr. David Uth accepting); and Community Outreach Award - Frontline Outreach. A key element of our Tea, our signature silent auction generated lots of interest with guests bidding on nearly 100 items highlighted by a week's stay at a vacation home donated by Ms. Karen Dyer and a coveted basketball signed by NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal. We hope everyone enjoyed the event. We are especially grateful to our volunteers, Frontier Civitan, donors, VIP table sponsors and especially our Event sponsors Boies Schiller Flexner LLC and Mayor Pro Temp and District 6 Commissioner Samuel B Ings.
